Whats the fastest and easiest way to learn as much CSS as possible in a weekend? I want to drop myself right in at the deep end and learn how to code. It's something I've wanted to dabble my toes in for some time.

Reading tutorials, look at sites CSS code, and also look at CSS cheatsheets.

If you use Firefox, this is a nice addon.
you can see and edit CSS files on every website, which has been of great value for me, because I could see what is possible with CSS, and how I could do it.
also, This is a good site as well

How come Photoshop is bracketed next to Adobe Creative Suite and Illustrator isn't. If anything Illustrator should go first, mainly because its better.

I disagree, each has its own purpose and fits its purpose well. It's not a case of better or worse, just which suits the occasion better
