Default How much do you charge?

Hello There,
I'm new to webmasters and although I am good at writing with proper grammar and spelling with creativity; I personally don't really like writing but I want to own my own site. If I'm looking for well written articles, no seo experience is needed what should I offer per 100 words? How much do you charge clients for your writing per 100 words?
Thanks

Rates vary and so does quality. On some webmaster forums you can get articles for as cheap as 0.5 cents per word! These are often written by non-native English speakers and are poorly researched. For good, well-researched material expect to pay at least 5c/word, most likely higher.

Follow me on Twitter!

If you get requests from forums, they'll most likely pay you just $1-2 for every 100 words. But if someone from a company hires you online, you can expect to get paid about $10 for every 100 words.

I usually charge by the hour, rather than by the word.
Perhaps I should consider changing that.

Like others have said, rates vary greatly, especially when you take overseas writers into account.

A lot of times people charge like less than a penny per word. It's crazy.. pay with you think you are worth. at least 1 penny to start as you grow..

I charge 4c per word but I've seen many non-native English speakers charging tiny amounts, and a lot of people wanting to take on writers and pay them very little-I was offered a job where I'd be paid 70c for 100 words, and have seen many offering to pay $1-2 for 350 words.

It does really depend on what you want-cheap and cheerful will usually get you content from someone whose first language is probably not English-this of course doesn't necessarily mean their English skills are poor, but writers from India, the Philippines etc. will usually charge a pretty low rate. US/UK etc. based writer will usually charge more, although how much more seems to vary an awful lot.
